Fenotypic variations in pugs, French and English bulldogg and Boston terrier

Åke Hedhammar, senior professor at SLU, describes a project where a large number of short-nosed dogs of 4 breeds have been inventoried. During the inventory, the dogs have been examined both health-wise and externally. The aim of the study was to see if there is enough variation in the appearance in four brachycephalic breeds for a healthy life in the next generation of dogs. In this lecture, Åke presents interesting results from the inventory.
